Among those injured was Terry Dudley, who was shot twice while charging his electric vehicle near the restaurant. His son, Micheal Dudley, told ABC News that his father called 911 and a friend before being airlifted to a hospital in Boise for treatment. The friend subsequently informed Micheal Dudley of the shooting.

The FBI has announced it is aware of the situation and is providing assistance to local law enforcement. The federal agency is also requesting that anyone who captured video, audio, or still images of the incident submit their footage for review. Idaho Governor Brad Little issued a statement on social media, asking for prayers “as law enforcement and first responders respond to an active shooter situation near In-N-Out.”
