Fourth suspect arrested over Jewish charity ambulance arson attack

Fourth suspect arrested over Jewish charity ambulance arson attack

The Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) announced the arrest of a fourth individual linked to the recent arson incident targeting ambulances operated by a Jewish charity in north London. This follows the arrest of three others who appeared at Westminster Magistrates’ Court earlier this morning and were remanded in custody. The suspects include Hamza Iqbal, 20, Rehan Khan, 19, and a 17-year-old boy with dual British-Pakistani nationality.

Law enforcement officials revealed the fourth suspect was taken into custody on Saturday morning at the court. A man was observed being led out of the building by police, though no further details about his identity were disclosed. All three previously charged individuals face accusations of arson with intent to damage property and acting recklessly regarding potential risks to human life.

The court was informed that the attack was a “premeditated and targeted strike against the Jewish community,” according to prosecutors.

Earlier in the week, two men aged 45 and 47 were detained in connection with the case but released on bail pending further investigation until late April. The CPS emphasized the evidence points to a deliberate act aimed at provoking fear within the Jewish community.
