A female victim was sexually assaulted by several individuals near a church after exiting a nightclub in Surrey. The attack took place between 02:00 and 04:00 BST on Saturday, with the woman reportedly being followed shortly after leaving the Labyrinth Epsom venue. It is believed the incident occurred outside the Epsom Methodist Church on Ashley Road.
Police update on ongoing investigation
“We understand this is an extremely distressing event, and the victim is receiving support from specialist officers,” said Det Insp Aine Matthews. She added that the investigation is still in its early phases, with officers actively seeking to identify and track down the suspects.
Authorities have not yet released full descriptions of the offenders but are conducting thorough inquiries. The police are urging anyone who was in the area during the time frame and may have noticed the woman in distress to come forward with information.

“Our focus is to quickly build a clear picture of the suspects, and we will provide updates as soon as possible,” Matthews explained. She emphasized the importance of public assistance, asking for details from individuals who encountered the woman or observed unusual activity during the attack.
