James Tarkowski injury latest after missing Arsenal vs Everton

Everton’s center-back James Tarkowski will miss the Premier League clash against Arsenal because of an injury. This marks his first absence from a match this term, adding to the challenges faced by the team’s defensive line.

David Moyes has opted for Jake O’Brien and Michael Keane as the central defenders in place of the injured Tarkowski. The manager emphasized that his squad has been well-prepared for the encounter, despite the setback.

“I’m not sharing anything with you,” Moyes stated before the game. “You can see it, we’re missing two center-halves today, but we’ve also got two who have one really well for us. We’re prepared, we prepared during the week, we’ve had time to do so, so it shouldn’t make too much difference hopefully.”

Everton’s lineup includes: Pickford; Garner, O’Brien, Keane, Mykolenko; Iroegbunam, Gueye, Dewsbury-Hall; McNeil, Neto, Ndiaye.

Arsenal’s starting XI is: Raya; Timber, Saliba, Gabriel, Calafiori; Zubimendi, Rice, Eze; Saka, Havertz, Madueke. Substitutes available: Kepa, Mosquera, White, Hincapie, Lewis-Skelly, Dowman, Martinelli, Jesus, Gyokeres.

A victory for Everton at the Emirates Stadium would propel them past Brentford into sixth place in the league table. For Arsenal, the match presents an opportunity to extend their lead at the top by 10 points before facing Manchester City’s trip to West Ham on Saturday.
