Melania Trump says rumours linking her to Epstein ‘need to stop’

First Lady Melania Trump Calls for End to Epstein Rumors

During a White House press briefing, Melania Trump, the First Lady, has refuted allegations of ties to Jeffrey Epstein, asserting that all assertions connecting them ‘must cease immediately.’

Unexpected Call for Congressional Hearings

In an unexpected move on Thursday, she urged Congress to hold hearings for Epstein’s trafficking victims. The initiative came as a surprise, with Trump emphasizing the need for survivors to share their stories under oath.

“Each and every woman should have her day to tell her story in public if she wishes, and then her testimony should be permanently entered into the congressional record. Then, and only then, we will have the truth.”

She dismissed online claims that Epstein had introduced her to the President, labeling them ‘designed to harm my image.’ The reason behind the sudden declaration remains uncertain, though she maintained she had never been a victim of Epstein’s abuse.

Trump also denied familiarity with Ghislaine Maxwell, Epstein’s jailed associate, stating she had no personal involvement. She referenced a 2002 email exchange between herself and Maxwell, released in the Epstein files, as ‘informal communication’ and a ‘cordial response.’

“I have never had any knowledge of Epstein abuse of his victims. I was never involved in any capacity. I was not a participant.”

Her comments aim to clarify her role in the controversy, while pressing for public accountability of those linked to Epstein’s alleged crimes.
