“It sounds like you’re just trying to shift attention from something to something else,” remarked Marina Lacerda, a 14-year-old survivor of Epstein’s abuse. “So how does this benefit the Trump family, is my question?”
Meanwhile, survivor Lisa Phillips acknowledged the significance of Melania’s intervention. “Her call to have survivors tell their stories was a bold move,” Phillips told BBC Radio 4’s Today programme. “But she also needs to follow her words with actions. What can you do to help us? What can you do to move us along?”
