Murder Charge Over Primrose Hill Stabbing
A 21-year-old man, Finbar Sullivan, was found dead after sustaining fatal knife wounds in Primrose Hill, leading to a murder charge against Oliuwadamilola Ogunyankinnu, 27. The incident occurred near a scenic viewpoint in the North London area on Tuesday. The Metropolitan Police confirmed that Ogunyankinnu was arrested on Friday and formally charged with murder on Sunday. He is scheduled to appear at Stratford Magistrates’ Court on Monday.
Meanwhile, a 25-year-old man, arrested on suspicion of aiding the perpetrator, has been released without further action. The police stated that the investigation remains active as they continue to gather evidence. Sullivan, who was a student at the London Screen Academy, was described by his father, Chris Sullivan, 65, as a cherished figure among his friends and family.
“All of his friends said he was the light, the leader. His friends’ parents loved him. This is why it’s so tragic,” Chris Sullivan shared with BBC London.
Officers also discovered another man in his 20s with stab injuries on Regent’s Park Road nearby. He was hospitalized, though his condition is not considered life-threatening or life-altering. BBC Radio London and BBC London’s social media platforms offer updates on the case, with listeners encouraged to follow for more details. Story ideas can be submitted to hello.bbclondon@bbc.co.uk.
