EDEN CONFIDENTIAL: Diana dress designer’s companies both go bust

David Emanuel, the designer who crafted the iconic wedding gown worn by Lady Diana Spencer when she married Prince Charles at St Paul’s Cathedral in 1981, now faces financial challenges. The gown, made of ivory silk taffeta and lace with a 25-foot train, became a global symbol of elegance, viewed by an estimated 750 million people worldwide. Yet, its legacy has not translated into sustained success for the designer.

Recent filings reveal that both of David’s businesses have collapsed. His companies, Licensed to Design (founded in 2002) and Renaissance Man (established in 2018), owe a combined £280,443 in debt. Documents show liabilities totaling £280,000, with assets valued at £164,000 described as uncertain to recover. Among the outstanding obligations are £72,000 in corporation tax owed to HMRC, £103,000 to NatWest Bank, and £33,000 to Ovo Energy.

David, 73, previously faced financial strain after his divorce from Elizabeth. He has reported business debts to liquidators, listing fixtures and fittings at £96,000 and directors’ loans of £60,000 as unsettled. In 2024, he lost a legal battle against Elizabeth, claiming her use of designs they co-created infringed his copyright. His spokesperson remained unavailable for comment.

Strictly Come Dancing star Erin Boag, 50, shared a distressing account of her 11-year-old son Ewan’s near-miss accident. During a game with friends, Ewan suffered a severe injury where his finger was completely severed.

“When I say severed, I mean severed,” Boag explained. “We rushed him to the hospital, and he was eventually referred to St George’s for plastic surgery. The doctors saved his finger, which has now allowed him to return to sports and playing the piano.”

Boag praised the NHS for its role in Ewan’s recovery, emphasizing how the healthcare system provided critical care. Her heartfelt video online underscored the significance of medical support during moments of crisis.

Tali Lennox embraces Medieval style for birthday

Pop star Paloma Faith criticized metropolitan Lefties for their perceived bias toward Nigel Farage’s Reform UK supporters, suggesting such groups should avoid dismissing those with differing views. “I do think the liberal Left, which I am sort of part of, have this habit of dismissing people who don’t agree with them,” she said on her podcast. “That’s not how we’re going to win.”

Tali Lennox, 33, celebrated her birthday in a striking Medieval ensemble, complete with a brown pagan-style dress, a gothic circlet, and a vintage pendant. The look, which included two thick braided plaits, reflected her eclectic fashion sensibility. Her father, film producer Uri Fruchtmann, has long inspired her bold style choices.
